Free Postage - Untracked

Where possible, we have applied Free Untracked Postage to eligible items in our store
Untracked - Only applicable on a few select items
T&C for Untracked Free Postage:
- Applicable to only a select few items in our store
- If Free post items are combined with Paid postage items, there will be no combined postage refund owed.
- Any number of Free post eligible items may be ordered together, but we reserve the right to send each item separately or combine postage into one parcel. No combined Postage refund will be owed.
- In our experience, untracked postage arrives at most destinations within 5 days of dispatch (Mondays for insects). However, untracking is more likely to be delayed and may arrive early the next week; they will be fine, please read our 'time in transit' information on this page.
- Dispatch Information
We dispatch orders placed prior to midnight on Saturday and containing live insects on the first working day of each week (usually on a Monday) to give the package the best chance of reaching you in the shortest amount of time without a weekend slowing its progress. You may receive your tracking number a few days prior to dispatch as we prepare your order packaging.
Supplies-only (non-insect) parcels will be dispatched within 2 working days.
Time in transit – advice
Tumut, NSW, is a small mountain town adjacent to Kosciuszko National Park and is located outside of the Australia Post ‘next day’ express postage service range, so unfortunately, we cannot offer this service.
We are close to the Hume Highway and quite central to Canberra, Sydney, and Melbourne, so even parcels traveling further afield usually make good time.
We usually record tracked delivery within 5 days of drop off at the Post Office to most parts of Australia.
If your order hasn’t arrived by the weekend, don’t worry, and thank you for your patience with the postal service.
Our insects are packed to last 2+ weeks in transit.
They should arrive happy and healthy the next week.
This assumes they are not exposed to unfavourable conditions (extreme heat / cold / squashed).
Shipping T&Cs
We provide flat rate shipping rates per weight or apply free post to certain items where practicable. Shipping is charged at checkout.
We only ship within Australia, but we are unable to ship anything in our store to Tasmania. Your island is beautiful and we want it to stay that way – FYI – TAS already has springtails and isopods but best to keep it pure. No international sales are possible on our products.
We will post your order to the address that you provide and therefore confirm at checkout.
If the address you provide is incorrect - not updated, mistyped, or missed a detail like the unit number - then no refund will be provided. We will not send to freight forwarders as our insects cannot travel overseas.
We don’t like customers to be disappointed, so in the event of an error on the customer's part either in the order quantities, items, varieties, or an issue with the shipping address or exposure to the elements after parcel drop off at your shipping address, please contact us at Friendly Bugs so we can discuss a solution.
We reserve the right to send insect orders placed after 12 midnight on Saturday on Monday, one week later.
We reserve the right to cancel and refund any and all orders. This has never happened before and it isn't something we want to do if we can help it.
Customers may contact us to cancel their order up to 48 hours prior to dispatch.
